Dr. V P Choudhry

Dr V P Choudhry is a Senior Consultant - Hematology & Hemato Oncology at PSRI Hospital. With 57 years of experience, he is a top hematologist doctor in Delhi. He also practices at Batra Hospital and Medical Research Center. He was previously associated with Paras Hospital, Gurgaon and Indira Gandhi Institute of Child Health, Afghanistan.

Dr Choudhry was formerly the Professor and Head of the Department of Hematology at AIIMS, Director of Indira Gandhi Institute of Child Health Kabul, Afghanistan and Medical Adviser at Armed Forces Medical Services. He has also been the Former Chairperson of Paediatric Hemato IAP, Former President of the Indian Society of Hematology and Transfusion Medicine, Former President of the Delhi Society of Hematology and a Life Member of the Indian Society of Cancer Chemotherapists.

Dr Chaudhary obtained an MBBS degree in 1967 and an MD in General Medicine from AIIMS, New Delhi, in 1972. He completed a Fellowship from the Indian Academy of Paediatrics in 1992 and a Fellowship from the Indian Society of Hematology and Transfusion Medicine in the same year.

He also completed his Fellowship from the International Medical Science Academy (FIMSA) in 1996, Fellowship from the Indian Academy of Clinical Medicine (FIACM) in 1998 and Fellowship from the Indian Society of Hematology and Transfusion Medicine in 2000.

Dr Ved Chaudhry has also won the DSH Lifetime Achievement Award (2019), the Dr J.G. Parkeh Oration by ISHTM (2012), the IAP Lifetime Achievement Award (2008), and the Dr J.B. Chatterjee Oration by ISHTM (2007).

He has been actively involved in research and has published various papers, including "Inherited Platelet Function Disorders Versus Other Inherited Bleeding Disorders: An Indian Overview" and "Deep Venous Thrombosis Associated with Tuberculosis."
