Dr Shabber S has made significant strides in surgical oncology, being one of the first oncologists in India to introduce Minimally Invasive Radio-Guided Parathyroid (MIRP) surgeries.

In September 2009, Dr Shabber Zaveri had the distinguished honour of delivering Professor Ramdoss Oration on Radioguided Surgery in Oncology at the Annual Conference of the Society of Nuclear Medicine in India.
