Dr Abhishek Jain is a highly reputed Surgical Oncologist with over 19 years of experience. He is currently associated as a Consultant with Marengo CIMS Hospital. 

Previously worked with Shalby Multi Speciality Hospital, S.G. Road, Ghuma and Naroda.

He went on to perform the first Uniportal VATS Lung Lobectomy for cancer in Madhya Pradesh at Shalby Hospitals, Indore.

Today, he is among the few (10–15) surgeons in India with expertise in performing advanced Uniportal VATS Lung Surgeries for lung cancers.

His speciality interests are surgery for:

1. Pancoast / Superior Sulcus Tumours via Hybrid Technique
2. Uniportal VATS lung surgery
3. Soft tissues sarcomas
   

After earning his MBBS degree from NSCB Medical College, Jabalpur in 2006, Dr Sonaje went on to complete his:

• MS in General Surgery from Civil Hospital, Ahmedabad in 2010
• Training in Surgical Oncology from Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai in 2011
• MCh in Surgical Oncology from The Gujarat Cancer and Research Institute in 2014
• Fellowship in Thoracic Surgeries from Liverpool, UK in 2017
• Fellowship in Uniportal Lung Surgeries from Chengdu, China in 2018

In 2019, he established the Uniportal VATS Lung Surgery program at GCRI, further advancing minimally invasive cancer care in India.

He is also a co-author of the renowned VGSC Multicenter RCT Study at TMH, Mumbai, where he contributed data from over 50 patients.

Dr Abhishek, a cancer surgeon, notable paper includes “Robotic Assistance in PET-CT-guided Lung Biopsies: Enhancing Accuracy and Clinical Outcomes.”

He is also an active member of the:

He was the first fellow from India to be selected for the IACA Travelling Fellowship in 2016, focusing on Surgical Oncology and Robotic Surgery in Los Angeles.
